This upright, bushy, broad-growing shrub usually reaches a height of 0.9 - 1.5 metres and a width of 1.5 to 1.8 metres. A semi-shady (to shady) location and humus-rich, lime-free soil create optimum conditions for healthy growth.

Preferred location in semi-shady to shady position.

Loose, humus-rich, sufficiently moist but water-permeable and well-aerated soil is preferred.
