Zone: 4 Height: 13m Width: 12m Acer platanoides 'Royal Red' Glossy, deep maroon foliage retains its colour throughout the growing season. Faster growing than 'Crimson King', it is an excellent shade tree with a moderately globe-shaped head. Cultivar of an invasive non-native species. Seeds purportedly sterile are proving otherwise.
